Tips for Successfully Passing the Road Test with Proper Training

Being a beginner and not knowing anything about how to obtain a driving licence or pass the road test in Vancouver? Well, worry not and enrol yourself on driving packages offered by the driving schools and look for the one that provides all the necessary training. In Vancouver, the busiest time of the year is in summer. People go to beaches and vacation on summer breaks, but another important thing in summer is road testing for naive drivers. It is the time when most of the applicants go for their road testing in Vancouver.

Every year Vancouver sees a rise in road testing in the summers. Each Vancouver driving school tries to ensure the learner is ready for the road test because getting a second chance is very difficult. But only half of the learners qualify for the road test, so it is crucial to understand what is to be done while learning to drive the vehicle to pass it in one go.

Tips to ensure passing your road test

Considering all the instructions, one must feel ready to go for the test, but practice is paramount to gain enough confidence sitting behind the wheel.

  •  Prepare yourself and be ready

Whether you take driving lessons from the instructor or are a self-learner; it is important to have enough experience and lessens taken before going for the road test. If possible, enrol; yourself in ICBC approved driving school where instructors help refine your skills and provide techniques to drive better. They know what to do at the road test and teach you safe driving practices to clear it in one go.

  • Do not panic, and calm yourself.

Whether it is a school examination, interview or driving test, humans tend to be nervous and panicked. But while driving, this must be the last thing that should happen. Practice and build your confidence to a level that you are not stressed. Reach the test location 10 minutes earlier and practice at the location to gain confidence. Be able to adapt to the location environment as it will calm your nerves down and make you more relaxed.

  • Check the vehicle

It is very important to bring a vehicle that is in proper condition while going for the road test. The examiner will first inspect whether the vehicle is suitable for road testing or not. He will check the safety of the vehicle and all necessary requirements like seat belts, lights, tyres, windshield, brakes and more. If any requirement is not fulfilled or doesn't meet the stated legal requirements, your vehicle won't be allowed, and your road test might get cancelled. To avoid such a scenario, check all the requirements stated on the ICBC website for the approved vehicles and bring a reliable vehicle along with you.

  • Ask the examiner the doubts or questions.

The examiner available at the road test location will not teach or instruct for your test but can answer your doubts before starting your test. You might have learned about several things in Road Test Training, but on location, doubts such as directions or clarification on what is being said can be asked of the examiner. It might also help the examiner understand your needs and make you comfortable before you start the test.

  • Be aware of road safety and rules.

Theoretically, mugging up safety rules is easy, but while practically doing it, it may be more difficult to handle the vehicle under pressure. Thus you must be quite observant to look at your surroundings and drive the vehicle accordingly. If there is any school or hospital, a speed limit has to be maintained, signalling while changing lanes or be precise in reversing or parking and more has to be taken care of while driving on the road. The examiner very sharply observes these all, and they would also check for good control while taking turns on the road. Thus, being active and aware of what is happening on the road makes you a good driver and would help you even pass the road test on the first try itself.

  • Driving in harsh weather conditions

As Canada is a cold country, vehicles must be prepared for winter driving. Learning to drive with winter tyres that help in driving under ice and snow is critical. It is as per Canadian standards to keep lights on while driving in snow for safety. It is always advisable to apply the brake before taking a turn. Rest in all weathers; driving is much easier than in winter in Vancouver. So make sure you familiarise yourself with the weather driving situations as well before going for licence tests. Driving school offers different lessons for it, helping you learn skid control, braking on slippery roads and avoiding collisions due to fog in winter.

Reasons why Haldi ceremony is important in Hindu Weddings

A wedding or marriage is one of the most significant events of an individual's life. It signifies the unison of two souls where husband and wife support each other in fulfilling their dharma throughout life. According to various Shastras (Holy Hindu Texts), this ceremony marks the entry of these two individuals into Grihasta Ashram (married life) together to celebrate happiness, support each other through ups and downs, continue the family lineage, and procreate to transmit knowledge, traditions, and ancestral rites.   In Hinduism, the wedding ceremony is incomplete without certain pre-wedding rituals, and Haldi, or Haridra Lepan, is one of the significant rituals that mark the beginning of this essential Hindu Sanskaar (sacrament). Generally performed a day earlier or in the early morning of the wedding day, the Haldi ceremony involves the application of Haldi (Turmeric) on the face, neck, hands, and legs of the bride and groom by family members and friends. The Religious Significance of Annaprashan Ceremony in Hinduism

In Sanatan Dharma, there are 16 sanskaar dedicated to the different life stages of a human being. The ancient scriptures explain the significance of celebrating each stage of life through Vedic rituals to honor the achievements unlocked at various stages of life. In the entire life cycle of a human being, four sanskaars are performed before the birth, eleven sanskaars after the birth, and one after a person's death. Out of the 11 sanskaars that are significant during the life of an individual, Annaprashan is the one that represents the transition of a baby to a toddler. The word Annaprashan is made of two Sanskrit words - Anna and Prashan. Anna means 'food,' and Prashan means to consume. The Annaprashan ceremony signifies that the baby is ready to consume solid food products and is celebrated as a significant milestone in life.   Religious Significance of Annaprashan Ceremony  In an Annaprashan ceremony, the baby is fed a rice-based dish (solid food) for the first time. Book Pandit Online for Birthday Puja Ceremony at Home

Birthdays are an annual event anticipated and awaited by every human being, no matter their age. The thorough planning of parties, gathering family and friends, organizing a feast, and most importantly, cutting a cake is what makes 'modern birthday parties' a success. However, while preparing for the most happening birthday parties, we have somehow forgotten our roots. On this special day, we overlook the importance of making God a part of our celebrations. Very few people uphold traditional values and begin their birthday by seeking the blessings of the older members of the house, visiting temples to thank God for a blissful life, or organizing rituals at home to pray for a fortunate future. As per Vedic tradition, we should organize a Y agya or Homam, under the guidance of a Vedic pandit, to offer thanks to the I sht and K ul D evta and seek their blessings for a long, healthy, and happy life, along with success in both the material and spiritual world. The Vedic tradition...
